How does Night Zookeeper improve spelling, and make it fun?
Night Zookeeper’s award-winning educational content will help your child improve their spelling skills through a range of different activities, including fun spelling games, challenges, and lessons. Our educational games provide bitesize content that makes learning fun! Your child will also learn new words along the way, and how to use them in their writing. Night Zookeeper is a full English language arts curriculum, therefore you can expect to see improvements not only in their spelling skills, but also in grammar, punctuation, reading comprehension, and writing.
What spelling topics are covered?
Night Zookeeper’s spelling curriculum covers everything you might expect your child to learn in Year 1, including vowels & consonants, sight words, and phonics, to topics required in later Years, such as spelling patterns, prefixes & suffixes, and much more! Spelling words suddenly becomes fun and interesting for your child with our program.
How does my child get feedback on their work?
Children receive feedback from our qualified tutors on every piece of written work they submit for review. Feedback includes encouraging comments to boost motivation and detailed suggestions on how to improve their work. Our tutors aim to provide feedback within 48 hours of work being submitted.
How often should we use Night Zookeeper?
Children should try to use Night Zookeeper a minimum of 30 minutes a week to get the best out of the program. This will give them time to complete their weekly assignments and check feedback from their tutors. But there is SO much to do on Night Zookeeper so we recommend a few hours a week to really take advantage of all the material on offer, and to help your child improve their reading and writing faster.
What ages are best for this program?
Night Zookeeper is best for ages 6 to 12. When you join you’ll be able to select the age of your child, and this will change the type of lessons, challenges, games, and level of vocabulary that they will encounter. You can always adjust this in your parent dashboard.
Do you have a family subscription?
Yes, you can add more than one child to your account. Simply press 'Start Free Trial' on a plan, and then add the number of children you would like (up to 3) in the checkout. The total will be displayed on the screen and there are discounts applied for every child added.
Can I check my child’s progress?
You certainly can. When you join Night Zookeeper you will be given access to a parent dashboard where you can easily monitor your child’s writing, achievements, and the feedback they are receiving from their tutor.
Can I use this on a tablet?
Yes, Night Zookeeper works across tablets, PC’s and laptops. We recommend using either on Safari, or Google Chrome browsers for best performance.
Is Night Zookeeper suitable for homeschoolers?
Whether you’re a homeschool parent, or a parent looking for additional ways to supplement your child’s learning, we’ve got you covered! While our program has a comprehensive reading & writing curriculum, it can also be used to level up the skills your child has acquired at school. Some families use Night Zookeeper as their homeschool language arts curriculum, while others reach for it as a way to build on reading & writing skills taught at school!
Is Night Zookeeper suitable for children with special educational needs?
Absolutely! Night Zookeeper has been proven to work well for children with dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, amongst many other special educational needs (SEN).
