Colt Technology Sponsors Night Zookeeper Class Subscriptions

We’re very excited to announce that we are able to offer 140 schools the chance to use Night Zookeeper for the year, free of charge. This fantastic opportunity has been made possible by sponsorship from COLT Technology Services, who provide network and voice services to Europe, North America and Asia.

We hope that this will enable more children to develop a love for learning and develop their literacy skills, especially those for whom it may not have been possible before.

COLT staff will also be engaging with the children on the website: reading work, leaving comments and offering words of encouragement. This will give your students the chance to show off their writing skills but also highlight the impact that the sponsorship has had.

Who is Eligible?

We have the funding for 140 classrooms across the UK (one class per school) to take part. In order to be considered:

  • Your school must be based in the UK
  • You must have laptops, tablets or desktops at your school to use the website

In order to apply for consideration, please complete the form below:

Our New Look Animal Dens: All you need to know…

As you may have seen, we recently launched a new look for the Animal Dens (where each animal lives) in Night Zookeeper. This aims to make it simpler for your child to use and to give them more choice in the activities they do. However, we know that with any change, it can take a little getting used to so we’ve put this guide together to help anyone who is wondering how to use it. Don’t worry, all the same features are still there!

Earth Day Writing Prompts

Earth Day Writing Prompts

The Night Zoo is a very magical world indeed, but we want children to recognise the magic of the world they already live in. These Earth Day prompts were designed to try and do just that, by getting kids to engage with their imaginations and write creatively about nature, the Earth and the environment. Hopefully it will encourage them to think a little deeper about what the word “Earth” means to them, whilst developing the key skills they need to be a star writer.
